I am so sorry that I lost a dear friend. I find this difficult because not only was he a friend he was a significant piece of the puzzle which was put together years ago which helped make me who I am. I cherish the great memories of growing up in Big Flats and the many friends I made over the years. The many, many, many things we made up to entertain us on a daily basis. (...that still makes me laugh) and Jim was a part of it always. A good friend. I honestly can still hear him laughing. When we were all together that's normally what you heard...laughter. I will miss his laughter and was honored to know him and his brother and sisters. His parents were so kind as well. I remember his dad had an awesome motorcycle in the garage...I remember it all like it was yesterday. Jim (Flick)...rest in peace my brother!

I'm so sorry for the Marks family! I worked with Jim for almost 30 years. He definitely was a Red Sox fan! Since I was a Yankees fan, we jabbed each other about it. Jim definitely got the best of me though! We all had our regular parking spots at work. One day in Spring, I went out after work and noticed a strange thing on my car. A rather large magnetic Red Sox emblem was on my white car. It had been on my car for over a week. Guess who did that? James T, I will miss you! Blessings and prayers to your family!

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Jim's passing. Jim was a pure soul and I can still see his smile. I knew Jim (Flick) via my brother Joe and their gang, the Old Mules. I grew up and hung out with these guys and had a front row seat to their antics. I saw them do a lumber jack contest in the Pines and then decide to use the trees to build a cabin which turned out to be so good that the homeowner (whose property they were on) was told by the Town that he was going to have to start paying taxes on it (he never knew about the cabin). Just one antic of so many. God Bless you all, Becky Cliburn Reed

So many fun memories of Jim. He was a good guy. I can’t find the right words to express my sympathies for his family, too young, too soon.
May he Rest In Peace, and may perpetual light shine upon him.

Jim and I were in the same homeroom together. He sat 2 chairs behind me. We became friends and on a few occasions he would ask me to write him an excuse as Mrs. Marks to get out of school early either for a dentist or Dr appointment….usually because the Old Mule Gang had plans. Ha! He called me “mom,” I called him “son.” RIP, my friend, and thank you for a great HS memory. Kathy, Kevin, Pat & Miranda and the Marks family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. May your memories of Jim be filled with smiles and laughs.
