My condolences to the family and friends of "Ricky." I knew Ricky in high school at TAE. He was amazing then, and even now more than 40 years later, just hearing his name leaves me awestruck! How could this boy - and later, this man - always seem to have such a positive outlook, and always seem able to flash you his warm smile? He was the rare unforgettable person to me, and I'm sure to all that knew him. I feel fortunate to have known him. Peace and comfort to his family.

I am so saddened to hear about Ricky! My heart breaks for you all. Ricky was one of a kind and I will always remember the many fun times the May girls had with him and your family. His memory will forever live on in all those whom he so kindly touched. May you find comfort in your memories.

I am very sorry to hear of Rick's passing. I remember Rick as a kid growing up in Elmira Heights. He was an inspiration to many and he was always so friendly and kind. GOD BLESS his family during this difficult time.

When I worked at PAL, through the Elmira School System, we could always count on Rick to help in anyway possible. He had a smile that could light up a room, and was one of our most dedicated Board of Directors member. He will be missed by anyone who knew him.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Beck family, his mom Catherine "Sadie" his Brother and sister Lary and Vicky, and the entire extended family. I often wondered what Rick did after his college years, and I see it was the same as back here at home. And that was, to fight for independence not only for him but for many others here and wherever he lived. However, I know that he came back here to be with his family.
I was a young kid in a new school out of my home district (Horseheads) when I entered Booth school as a mainstreamed 2nd grader. Every time I saw him he would say hi and talk a bit. Even then he looked after others who needed it. as I got older I too got to go to camp star and he and others I knew then from Booth were there with others like us from all over several counties. Those were some of the best memories of my younger life. Later we would see each other at Rotary functions or whatever, or chat on FB. a GOOD WORD or guidance when either of us needed it from the other.
Rick is missed but not forgotten and he is always loved, Rest in peace my friend, till we see each other again.
