Obituary of Brian E. Kasonic
Brian (BK) passed peacefully surrounded by his family and closest friends on September 6. He was born on January 10, 1969 in Elmira, NY. He attended Horseheads Public Schools and earned his B.S. from SUNY Oswego. After graduation he became part of his dad's business Kasonic Builders. Upon his dad's retirement, he started Kasonic Ventures.
He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. Brian is predeceased by his brother Jimmy Ormiston and his cousin Michael Imahori. He is survived by his loving mother Ann Kasonic (James) Ormiston, father Barry Kasonic (Debbie), sister Laurie Kasonic (Kevin) Dunlop, sister Kimberly Ormiston, sister-in-law Sue Ormiston, nieces and nephews including Angus and Annie Dunlop, Lindsay Ormiston (Todd) Piccola, Danielle (Brendan McGlynn) Ormiston, Ryan Ormiston, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Brian also leaves behind his very special friend Lee Blaser.
Brian loved his community on Market Street in Corning. He founded and co-chaired the Kenny Parker Bowling Tournament raising thousands of dollars for diabetes research. He was a devoted Bills fan and loved to travel. He participated in multiple productions with Elmira Little Theatre.

Calling hours are at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Friday September 9, 2022 from 5 –7 PM. A Funeral Mass celebrating Brian's Life will be held on Saturday September 10, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Mary Our Mother Catholic Church 816 West Broad Street Horseheads,.
