Obituary of William Frank Losey

William F. "Red" Losey age 97 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Monday October 31, 2022. Red was born August 16,1925 in Wetherfield, NY the son of the late Walter and Gertrude West Losey Sr. He was a veteran of World War II serving his country with The US NAVY and a founding member of The Big Flats American Legion Post. He married his wife , Joyce J. Reasor Losey, on April 25, 1948 and they recently celebrated their 74th Wedding Anniversary on April 25, 2022. Mr. Losey was a member of The Hillview United Methodist Church of Big Flats. He was pre-deceased by his parents and his sister Charlotte Imes and his brother Walter Losey Jr. . Red was a retired Metal Fabrication Welder at Hungerford Corporation in Big Flats, NY. He loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them. Red is survived by his loving and devoted wife Joyce ; sons and daughter-in-law: Eugene & Cheryl Losey of Horseheads, NY and Paul Losey of Horseheads, NY; granddaughters : Breana Losey and Marissa Losey; great granddaughters: Kathryn Losey , Lillian Ameigh , and Isabella Ameigh ; sister: Patricia Losey Beckhorn of Malvern, Arkansas; several nieces, nephews, cousins , and a host of caring friends. There will be no prior calling hours. Private Funeral Services at Rural Home Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family where Full Military Honors will be accorded Mr. Losey.
