I have many fond memories of Darla and I in our much younger years. Then as the years went by we went our separate ways. I visited with Darla and her companion on a trip back to NY, sent Christmas cards, and communicated through facebook. When I found out she had cancer, I reached out and once again we were in contact. We spoke only twice, however it brief the chats were, it was good to be in contact with a very important piece of my childhood.
Darla had a kind soul and will be missed by all who knew her. To say RIP would be an error as she is more than likely getting together with all her loved ones that have already passed.
