Obituary of William E. Taylor

William E. Taylor age 95 of Elmira Heights, NY passed away on Sunday December 25, 2022. He was born May 10, 1927 in Elmira , NY the son of the late Charles Eugene Taylor and Myrtle Higgins Taylor. William was a World War II and Korean War Veteran serving his country with The U.S. NAVY. He was a retired employee Hankins/MacMillan Bloedell Containers in Elmira Heights, NY. He was a member of American Legion Post 154 in Elmira Heights, NY and member of The VFW in Corning, NY. Mr. Taylor was pre-deceased by his first wife Samantha Ann Hetrick Taylor in 1979 and by his second wife Ann T. Salbego Taylor on July 19, 2014. Mr. Taylor is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Franklin and Glenice Taylor of Dripping Springs, Texas ; daughter : Susan Taylor of Elmira Heights, NY ; Ann's children: Michael and Kathleen Zito of Elmira, NY , Theresa and David Henderson of Erin , NY , Gina Zito of Elmira, NY, Phillip and Rose Zito of Elmira, NY, Mark Zito of Texas, Lori and David Loope of Minoa, NY ; half-sister: Cathy Stephens in Millerton , PA several grandchildren , great grandchildren, nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Monday January 2, 2023 from 3 to 5 PM.
