Obituary of Arlene C. Boulas

In Loving Memory of Arlene Boulas October 6, 1939 - May 17, 2023 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Arlene Osman Boulas, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the community. Arlene peacefully departed this world on May 17, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and beautiful memories. Arlene was born on October 6, 1939, and grew up in Elmira, New York. She married Leonard Boulas on June 9, 1962. She was a loving wife and devoted mother to her five children of Leonard Boulas, who resides in Elmira Heights. Together, they built a life filled with love, devotion, and a beautiful family. Arlene was a dedicated mother to her five children: Lenny (Michele) Boulas, Ellen (Bill) Clark, Barbara (Allen) Fraley, Karen (Anthony) Boulas, and Michael (Brenda) Boulas. She found great joy in watching them grow, guiding them with her wisdom, and supporting them every step of the way. She never missed a birthday or special event. She lived for her family and enjoyed watching them play and coach sports. Arlene was blessed with the gift of grandchildren, and she adored her grandchildren Matt, Andrew, Peter, Kevin, Danielle, and Renee. They brought immense joy and laughter to her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. As a devoted member of St. Mary Our Mother Catholic Church in Horseheads, Arlene found solace and spiritual fulfillment in her faith. In her younger years she was an active parishioner, always lending a helping hand and participating in various church activities. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life. Arlene's professional journey was marked by hard work, determination, and entrepreneurship. She spent over 20 years at Horseheads High School, where she dedicated herself to work and helping others. Prior to her career in the Horseheads School District, Arlene owned several small businesses, including a beauty shop and a paint store. Her entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic were admired by those who knew her. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Arlene will be remembered for her kind heart, warm smile, and genuine love for others. She possessed a remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel welcome and loved. Arlene's laughter was infectious, and her generosity knew no bounds. In addition to her children and grandchildren, Arlene is survived by her husband Leonard. She also leaves behind friends, extended family members, and all those whose lives she touched with her kindness and compassion. As we mourn the loss of our mother, let us also celebrate the incredible life she lived and the legacy she leaves behind.
