CATHERINE (KITTY) M. KEEFE KOLANACH Age 93 of Bethany Manor in Horseheads, NY passed away on August 9, 2023. Catherine was born on February 14, 1930, in Elmira, NY, the daughter of James C. Keefe, Sr. and Mary E. Keefe. She married her husband, John V. Kolanach, on July 8, 1950. Kitty was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society in Elmira Heights, NY. In addition to her parents, Kitty was predeceased by her husband, John V. Kolanach, her grandson, John Kain, her brother and sister-in-law, James C. Keefe, Jr. and Mary Marrone Keefe. Kitty was a cosmetologist and homemaker. She retired from BOCES as a teacher aide for special education children. Kitty loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Kitty loved sewing, embroidering, and caring for her family. Kitty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John M. and Rebecca A. Kolanach of Hampstead, NC; daughter and son-in-law, Jane M. and James A. Kain of Big Flats, NY. Grandchildren and great grandchildren, Elise D. Kolanach with daughter, Marley Orme, and Nicholas J. Kolanach; Michelle C. (Kain) and Matthew A. Jaworski with children, Maxwell and Madeleine; Ryan J. and Jennifer M. Kain with children, Emma, Bennett and Rileigh; Sharna and Tokunboh Balogun with son, Nate Hill, Jr.; and Paul Bayne; several nieces and nephews and a host of caring friends and her beloved dog, Heidi. Relatives and friends are invited call at the LYNCH FINERAL HOME, 318 West Broad Street, Horseheads, NY on Monday August 14,2023 from 4 to 6 PM. Catherine 's Funeral and Committal Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 6 PM. The. Rev. Richard Farrell will officiate.
