Obituary of Robert C. Lantzy

Robert C. "Bob" Lantzy age 88 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Wednesday August 23 , 2023. He was born April 22, 1935 in Spangler, PA the son of the late Earl F. and Edith (Broyles) Lantzy. Bob was a Korean War Veteran serving his country with The US ARMY. He married his wife , Lois Lesko, on July 11, 1959 and they recently celebrated their 64th Wedding Anniversary. Bob was a retired Senior Project Engineer at Corning Inc. and was recognized as a Distinguished Associate of the Manufacturing Technology and Engineering Division. He was a communicant of St. Mary Our Mother Church in Horseheads, NY. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, woodworking, gardening, and volunteering at The Food Bank of The Southern Tier and ARC of Chemung-Schuyler. In addition to his parents , he was pre-deceased by his siblings Eleanor (Lantzy) Fisher, Earl Lantzy, Joanne(Lantzy) East , Joseph Lantzy and his grandson Thomas Ringler-Lantzy J.D. . Bob loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them. Mr. Lantzy is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years Lois ; his children : Patricia (William) McLellan of Corning, NY , Theresa (Michael) Lyons of Haymarket, VA , Linda Lantzy of Big Flats, NY , Thomas Lantzy US Army Colonel Retired (Sharon) of Virginia Beach, VA , Richard (Colleen) Lantzy of Cary , NC , and Julie (James) Uetz of Webster , NY ; 11 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters ; brother : Thomas Lantzy of New Hudson, MI ; sister: Dorothy Smith of Emeigh, PA ; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law , nieces, nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Monday August 28, 2023 from 6 to 8 PM. Mr. Lantzy's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday August 29, 2023 at 10 AM at St. Mary Our Mother Church 816 West Broad Street Horseheads, NY . Bob will be laid to rest in St. Mary Our Mother Cemetery in Horseheads, NY.
