Obituary of Colista Elvira Berlozan

Colista Elvira Berlozan age 100 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Tuesday September 12 , 2023 at Cortland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Cortland, NY. She was born February 11, 1923 in Caton, NY the daughter o the late Earl and Elvira Wilcox Rozell. Colista worked at The Chemung County Home and Infirmary in Breesport , Thatcher Glass, Sears & Roebuck , and as a Home Health Aide. Colista was pre-deceased by her first husband Clifford L. Harvey in 1943 and by her second husband Michael Berlozan in 1989 and by her son Clifford E. Harvey in 1997. She was also pre-deceased by her son-in-law Rodney Dayton and several brothers and sisters. Colista was a loving child care provider for many years. Michael and Colista were foster parents for many years. She loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Colista is survived by her daughter Ceceilia "Cece" Dayton of Horseheads, NY ; grandchildren: Nicole Evans, Joshua Dayton , Justine Dayton , and Wendy Lyons ; eight great grandchildren ; brother: Harold Milks ; sister and brother-in-law: Louella and Paul Bradley ; several nieces , nephews, cousins , and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS,NY on Friday October 27, 2023 from 5 to 7 PM. Mrs. Berlozan's memorial service will follow calling hours at 7 PM. Colista will be laid to rest with her husband Michael in St. Ignatius Cemetery in Kingston , PA.
