MATHEWS Roger W. Jr. Age 37 of Horseheads , NY passed away on Friday September 2 , 2011. Roger was born June 9 , 1974 in Elmira , NY the son of Roger W. and Debra Marshall Mathews Sr. He was a graduate of Horseheads High School Class of 1992. Roger was an Operations Manager of Horseheads Pick-A-Part for over ten years and had returned to college at Corning Community College to further his education. He loved cars , demolition derbys , sky diving , playing poker , going to New York City to see Broadway plays , and traveling and vacationing with his family. Roger loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them . Roger is survived by his wife Jennifer L. Becraft Mathews ; daughters : Megan N. Mathews and Makenzie A. Mathews both at home ; father and mother : Roger W. & Debra Marshall Mathews Sr. of Horseheads , NY ; brother : Timmy Mathews of Owego , NY ; father-in-law and mother-in-law : Robert & Kathleen Becraft of Millport , NY ; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law : Beverly & Bryon Swartout of Horseheads , NY , Robin & Mike Jankowski of Horseheads , NY , and Robert Becraft of Millport , NY ; several aunts , uncles , nieces , nephews , cousins , and a multitude of friends including special nephews Jordan Mathews and Dominic Mathews and special friends Jimmy Comfort and Calvin Springstead . Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 West Broad Street Horseheads , NY on Wednesday September 7 , 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM . Roger's Funeral Services will be held on Thursday September 8 , 2011 at 10 AM at the Funeral Home with Chaplain David Knuppenburg officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmira , NY. The family will provide their own flowers and those wishing may make contributions to an Educational Scholarship Fund for Roger's Children.
