Carmella A. VanRensselaer age 88 of Pine City, NY passed away on Sunday January 21, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. Carmella was born August 13, 1935 in Williamsport, PA the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Esposito Barilla. She married her husband John L. VanRensselaer Jr. on August 16, 1958 and he pre-deceased her on December 8, 1997. Carmella was also pre-deceased by her son Joseph Anthony Van Rensselaer on March 16, 2013 , her sister Marie Scaife on December 24, 2007, brothers and sisters-in-law Dominic & Antoinette LoPresti , Joseph LoPresti, and Frank & Lorraine Barilla . Carmella is survived by her children: Michael Brian VanRensselaer of Horseheads, NY , Margaret & Thomas Pelot of Horseheads, NY , John L. VanRensselaer III of Elmira, NY , and Eugene Van Rensselaer of West Virginia ; sisters and brother-in-law: Theresa & Joseph Wichtowski of Rochester, NY and Rose Mosher of Newtown, PA; sisters-in-law : Shirley (Mrs. Joseph) LoPresti of Waverly, NY and Virginia (Mrs. Arthur) Dupell of North Brookfield, MA ; several grandchildren, great grandchildren , nieces , nephews, cousins , and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Thursday January 25, 2024 from 4 to 7 PM. Carmella's Funeral and Committal Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 7 PM. Carmella will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband John L.
