Obituary of Lynn A. Johnston

Lynn A. Johnston age 77 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Tuesday January 30, 2024 after an extended illness. Lynn was born January 28, 1947 in Troy, Pennsylvania the son of the late Lee and Lorraine Wilbur Johnston. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving his country with The US ARMY. Lynn was a retired barber having worked at Doug's Barber Shop in Elmira, NY and The Barber Shop in Corning, NY . In addition to his parents, Lynn was pre-deceased by his brothers Gary Johnston , Mike Johnston , and Scott Sweet. Lynn married his wife, Roxanne "Roxy" Gill Johnston , on December 24, 1997 and they recently celebrated their 26th Wedding Anniversary on December 24, 2023. Lynn is survived by his wife Roxanne "Roxy" Gill Johnston ; daughter and son-in-law: Nicole and Matt McCamman of Michigan and grandsons Jackson McCamman and Brodie McCamman; daughter: Melissa Epperson of Elmira Heights, NY ; granddaughter Ashley (William) Bentley and great grandsons Quinn and William ; son : Dennis Epperson of Elmira Heights, NY; grandsons : Kameron Epperson and Dennis Epperson; mother-in-law: Emogene M. Walborn of Horseheads, NY ; sister-in-law Linda Johnston of Horseheads, NY; niece: Jennifer Johnston of Boston, MA; sister-in-law: Beverly (Mrs. Scott) Sweet; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Bill and Gail Gill , Doug Gill , Larry Gill, and Jodi Battersby ; several nieces, nephews , cousins, and a host of caring friends. It was Lynn's wish that a Gravesite Memorial Service be held at Woodlawn National Cemetery 1825 Davis Street Elmira, NY on Friday February 16, 2024 at 11 AM where Full Military Honors will be accorded Mr. Johnston.
