Met Skip at the bar at a Punta Cana resort. We became friends almost immediately. He stuck out because he was so tall and was there frequently ordering, LOL. I struck up a conversation as we waited for our drinks and we joked and told stories till the vacation ended. We were in touch over the years and had many laughs over the phone as well as a couple of times in person. My wife and I was fortunate to meet Skip and Margaret and he will be sorely missed by all that knew him.

I have not known Skip as long as many of his friends, but that doesn't mean he made any less of an impact on me.
To know Skip is to have at least one Skip story and probably a plethora of them. Skip was my business "mentor and tormentor", my biggest cheerleader and my friend. In the spirit of WWJD (What Woud Jesus Do?), we have a saying at work when things go awry....WWSS - What Would Skip Say? Usually followed by an array of expletives. Hahaha
Skip was one of the last of the good ole guys - a tough old bird, a storyteller, a comic, a ball buster, a family man, a true friend. I will miss him immensely.

I have been a friend of Skip's for almost 65 years. First as a little boy who Skip took under his wing, along with his buddies.
Then about 20 years ago Skip and I re-united and developed a relationship that was thoroughly enjoyed by us both! Skip Lewis has made a powerful impact on my life!! When I think of Keuka Lake....I automatically think of Skip Lewis. Skip "is" Keuka Lake!! I will miss our daily calls (already do)! I'll miss his unique vocabulary ....like "Thirst Parlor". I'll miss his laughter, his wit, his stories and even his "gruffness"! Frankly, I'll miss Skip every day of my life!!
Jeri and I pray for strength and comfort to Margaret, Ryan and Anthony and their families as they adjust to life without Skip. We know though, they will soon share "Skip stories" with laughter and fond memories.
Rest in Peace my friend!!

The Badship Lollipop family is deeply saddened upon hearing of Skip's passing. He certainly was a legend and a joy to visit with on the lake. We will miss seeing him and getting his siren salute back. Love to Margaret and all of Skip's family. ❤️
Gayla, Don and rest of the crew.

Margaret, Ryan & Anthony, Im so sad to hear of Skips passing. He was, truly, one of the good guys. (and his hot dog sauce was pretty darn close to Nick Tahoes...)
You all are in my prayers.
