Obituary of Charlotte A. McCracken

Charlotte A. McCracken age 89 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Monday September 23, 2024 at Bethany Manor surrounded by her loving family. Charlotte was born November 2, 1934 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Dayton B. and Julia Carlson Knox . She married her husband Donald M. McCracken on September 8, 1956 and he pre-deceased her on June 11, 1996. Charlotte was also pre-deceased by her grandson Chase David Joseph ; her brothers and sisters-in-law: Richard & Shirley Knox , Dayton B. Knox Jr. & Dianne Knox , Elizabeth (Mrs. Morris) Knox; sister & brother-in-law: Jean & Jerry Kerwan . Charlotte is survived by her beloved children: Cynthia & Richard St. Pierre of Erin, NY; Daniel & Dawne McCracken of Horseheads, NY; Julie & Michael Joseph of Lititz, Pa ; Pamela & Matthew Apgar of Lowman, NY ; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren , several nieces, nephews, cousins, and caring friends. Charlotte was an active member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Horseheads, NY. She loved doing ceramics, a member of The Red Hat Society , and was an avid gardner. A Celebration of Charlotte's Life will be held at The Horseheads Elks Lodge Hickory Grove Road & Prospect Hill Road Horseheads, NY on Saturday October 19, 2024 from 2 to 6 PM. Arrangements are entrusted to the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY .
