Linda J. Petro Age 82 of Elmira, NY formerly of Ithaca, NY passed away on Thursday November 21, 2024. Linda was born August 24, 1942 in Ithaca, NY the daughter of the late Louis Petro and Barbara Smith Petro. Linda was raised in Ithaca, NY and graduated from Ithaca High School. She worked for Cornell University as a Secretary in the Library System TASA until her retirement. Linda was pre-deceased by her sister: Elaine Hough, and nephew Jermaine Griffin. Linda is survived by her sister: Susan Petro of Cicero, NY; brother Michael (Joyce) Petro of Williamsport, PA; nieces and nephews: Zaria (Maria) Griffin; Stephen Petro; Julia (Jeremiah) Cordero; Angelyn (Brett) Smith, and Sal (Mandy) Marino; former sister-in-law: Alice Petro; and Brothers of Heart: Gary Irwin of Elmira, NY, and Gerry (Jolyn) Irwin of Beaver Dams, NY. As per Linda's wishes there will be no calling hours and her burial will be at the convenience of the family.
