Dory was a wonderful woman and I loved her very much. Over the past three decades, almost every time I visited Tim and Mary Benesh, (my brother-in-law and sister) we visited Dick and Dory.
Every time we were at their house, hospitality and love abounded from Dory! A cup of coffee and something to eat was offered. She shared stories and picture albums of her trips and we enjoyed looking at her many crafts and beautiful dollhouses and of course her Santa Claus room!
We sent each other cards and devotional materials. Many times, we included a special tea bag of raspberry tea which we both enjoyed, even across the miles as I live in Virginia.
I was always blessed to talk on the phone or be with Dory in person. I enjoyed her sense of humor and her stories and antics of the boys growing up on the farm! Dory was the “real deal”; she loved her family and friends deeply and always truly cared about others. I will miss you, sweet lady. I am glad that you are in Heaven with Dick, Betty and Garry and others you loved dearly that went there before you. You are forever in the arms of Jesus.
